Qutub Minar kahan hai?

After visiting Dr. Ambedkar National Memorial, we were looking for our another destination. I decided to take Khazan towards North Campus without telling him. There were some monkeys in front of a park. We were standing at a T-point towards Majnu ka Tilla, read a billboard that was showing the way towards a Gurdwara. While taking the route, Khazan told me about his business issue with someone. We were walking continuously through the lanes of Majnu ka Tilla, and were going through some narrow lanes of a locality. We saw Delhi Signature Bridge from this location. We asked someone about the exact way towards the Delhi Signature Bridge. Khazan said that there is a restaurant at the top terrace of the Bridge which was confirmed by a stranger. We were excited for the view from this amazing height of Signature Bridge. There was Yamuna River, which was polluted by the human beings. While walking directly towards the escalator, someone stopped us from entering it and denied that it is not opened to the public yet. It was under maintenance. Unfortunately, we took some videos outside the bridge.

Now, unaware of the way towards the next destination, we were walking continuously alongside the road. On this road, you will find only Kachori as food, and after a few meters you will find coconut water. We ate Kachori with parathey (Khazan brought Ghar ka khaana). We were now confused, where should we go, asked Khazan to look for metro. So there were Billboards with the name of Karawal Nagar, Electronic city, Ghaziabaad. We asked someone about the way towards metro. He didn't know. It was more than 10 km of walk now, and we were at Khazuri Police station and then we took a Gramin Sewa (a kind of vehicle), crossing the area of Bhajanpura. We jumped off at Kashmere Gate metro station, suggested Khazan about Karol Bagh. Then, he decided the plan to visit Qutub Minar. We were at Qutub Minar metro station around 3:30 pm. We took tea and biscuits. We didn't hire any automotor for Qutub Minar like everyone. We took a walk of 1.5 km , and reached Qutub Minar within 15-20 minutes.

While going towards Qutub Minar on walk, we saw Jain Mandir and one more temple, i can not recall the name exactly now. There was nursery also near the Qutub Minar. And the nearby area of Qutub Minar is not good at all, there is too much garbage, maybe the SDMC is not doing their work properly.

Now, we were standing in the queue to enter the Qutub Minar. Somebody told us to bring the ticket first from the ticket counter. Khazan said that he will book the ticket online. Then we visited the ticket counter place, there was a QR code scanner in the corner. It was 35 Rs. per person for the Indians and 550 Rs. for the foreigners.

We entered in Qutub Minar around 4:15 pm. I asked Khazan to give the intro part for the video. We were in a abandoned garden, as no one was visiting the place. There was some garbage at this place amidst the beauty of nature. Last time, I had visited this place with my college friends (Gannu, Vivek and Vivek's friend) . But that was like a quick round. It was like a proper tour this time. No rush towards home. You can check the history about Qutub Minar on Wikipedia and you can read some facts on the internet. We took some photos and videos. Most of the people were from south part of India. You can witness the beauty of Qutub Minar during winter season. You will find most of the crowd at this historical place nearby 2 pm. I met an army officer, he told me about his journey that he is roaming in Delhi now a days, he has already visited India Gate, Old Fort, Isckon Temple, Akshardham and some other places. He asked me about any other beautiful location in Delhi, he was basically from Odisha. Ironically, Odisha has much better beauty than Delhi. Khazan was lost somewhere in Qutub Minar, looking out for me. We left Qutub Minar around 6 pm.

We took Pao Bhaji at Qutub Minar which didn't have good taste at all. Then we ate Dahi Bhalla which was good as compare to Pao Bhaji. While going through metro, we decided to visit Chhatrapur Mandir, Jain Mandir and Saket in our next visit. We were at Nangloi around 8 pm, there was no vehicle due to crowd of people. Finally, we reached home around at 9:45 pm. It was indeed a good day.
