Old Fort and Dolls Museum

It was 17th June, When we were planning to visit the Old Fort. The weather was quite good to explore the monument today. Khazan was not ready to visit Old Fort and said, " K krega Purana Qila ja k, k pa rya h tnne! ". I was already ready around 7:30 am, but he was late as usual. I was checking the nearest metro station. Anyhow we reached Nangloi around 9:30 am. I was hungry, because of Gym. Khazan forgot to carry his mask. We met Hemant Sharma (one of my classmates). He was going towards his office. There was crowd in the metro. We reached Supreme Court Metro station around 11:00 am. While taking exit from metro, Khazan told about his last visit. Now we are walking continously with the eyes of the map. There was sudden heat of sun and we were drenched with the sweat. After walking more than 2 km, we found out that Zoo is closed today. So we decided to visit Old Fort for now.

While going towards Old Fort, we found a Mosque, called Khair-ul-Manazil Masjid built by the wet nurse Maham Angha, of Mughal Emperor Akbar. It was quite silent place. There was lock on the gate and we were curious to enter. Khazan found out that gate is opened. We entered and fascinated by the beauty of this Mosque. It was well maintained. There was a woman who was offering her prayers to the God. We were clicking photos and were trying to take every possible moment in the camera. Khazan got tired and sat for a moment. Achanak se garmi bdh gyi aur hum itna bheeg chuke they maano kisi ne paani daal diya ho. He made a video for the YouTube channel. While taking exit, a woman asked us to fetch water from the well. Yes, there was a well, and people use to fetch water from it before offering their prayers. There was an army officer, who asked us about our visit. He said, " Har friday ko duty lgti h n yhaan isliye". Now we took exit and were going towards Old Fort.

We reached at the ticket counter, and booked the tickets online. One of the security guards asked us to put the tripod outside the fort and we can not carry food also. We have already eaten Burger at Burger King at Kashmere Gate so Khazan was not hungry. Now we were looking a shop to submit our bag. We asked one of the shopkeepers to submit our bag, he denied and said, " Bhai 500-1000 rupaye bhi doge, tb bhi zma nhi krunga". Now, we were checking other shop, somebody asked to submit out bag at Chhole Kulchey shop for 50 Rs. We agreed and submitted our bag. Now, we were in the queue to enter the fort. There was a soft arguement with a security guard about entry gates. We shot a quick timelapse of the entrance. Garmi jaan le rhi thi. Now we are walking in the fort. And we started to make videos from our left.

It was Talaqi Darwaza in front of us. Khazan was sitting and i was taking a timelapse video for Talaqi Darwaza. There is good amount of greenory inside the fort.

After Talaqi Darwaza, we were walking again and found some destroyed part of a fort. We were not sure about it, whether it has been destroyed or left in middle during construction. I told Khazan that inn diwaro mein muzrimo ko chin diya jata tha khda krke. We climbed up on a wall and we can see the ground of IHFF bodybuilding federation. Guard came and asked us to step down. Now were going through a narrow lane of the fort, where couples were enjoying their moment.

Now we were behind a mosque, firstly we were unaware of it. We made a slow motion video here and sat for a moment.

Now, we went straight towards the Sher Mandal by Shershah Suri. It was the same place, where Humayun died. It was written on a board that Humayun was offering prayers anf when he was stepping down, he slipped from the stairs and injured badly and died after 3 days.

After Sher Mandal, It was Qila-e-Kuhna Masjid. We were sitting on a wall, looking at this Masjid ,and the people who were roaming around it. There was a step well in front of the Masjid. It was built by Shershah Suri for his private use. It was more beautiful as compared to other monuments because of the carvings on it. It was the most crowded place in the Old Fort.

After Sher Mandal, there was a Hamam, a Bathroom. We climbed on it and were trying to figure out about the structure. Khazan went down to check the information. He could not find any information.

Now, the weather is quite sexy and there is slow raining. We were drenched with the water and going slowly. Khazan's phone' battery died. There was a museum, which was closed due to Friday. As we can see, there was infomation about almost every historical places in India. The Guard was quite rude outside the museum.

After taking exit, we were standing under the roof nearby ticket counter. I asked Khazan to enjoy the rain. Now we were going towards the shop to collect our bag. We bought a cold drink, which was not cold at all, ate Roti with chholey. Chholey Kulchey wale ne 100 Rs. Ki demand ki, humne 50 Rs. Pakdaaye, qki itne ki hi baat hui thi. Khazan asked the shopkeeper to charge his mobile, he denied.

Now we were going towards metro, and baarish mein bheegne ka mza hi alag tha, alag hi sukoon. We took water from a petrol pump, used bathroom. Again denied by a shopkeeper to charge his mobile. Shirt nikaal k nichod di bich sadak pe. Khazan said ki metro wale ghusne nhi denge qki hum bheeg chuke hai. We used the lift and there was a signboard that made us laugh. 3 ft jagah thi ek chhat k niche se, jahan se jaana mna tha. Now I tried to use my mobile and it was not working properly, maybe because of the rain water. Khazan asked me to switch off the mobile.

We were now going towards ITO metro station to visit the Dolls Museum. It was beside the metro station. We bought two tickets ( Rs. 25 per person). We were not allowed to take any photos or videos. So we were just looking at the dolla from different countries ( India, China, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Japan, Russia, Czech Reoublic, Ukraine and so many other countries). It is quite a good place to visit if you have children.

We ate paneer paratha from a shop, bakwaas tha, paise waste. Now we left for home, and my phone was still not working. There was violent protest in Delhi due to Agnipath Scheme. We reached Nangloi around 7 pm. We took e-rickshaw for Pratap Vihar. And there was water everywhere, drain water. We reached home around 9 pm. My phone was still not working. So I just threw my mobile in the rice and after an hour it was working fine.
