Things to do near Kashmere Gate Station, What are some places to visit near Kashmere Gate?,
Have you ever made any random plans? Have you ever taken any immediate action without thinking about the consequences? Well, we didn't google any place today for our new video. After our vlog of Agar Nagar-Nangloi Metro, we took Nangloi metro at 11 am. We just have to reach Kashmere Gate, after then, we will decide about our plans. It took us around 45 minutes to reach at the Kashmere Gate metro station, we were taking sunlight and then used the nearby washroom. We were standing in front of the Kashmere gate metro station.
On our left, there was church road and on our right, there was Kashmere gate ISBT. We took a right turn and took the direction of the Old Delhi Railway Station side route. Khazan gave an introduction to our second vlog, there was a person who asked about the address of the old Delhi railway station. So now it was my turn to give a background voice to the video. Khazan took a different path, so-called him. I hate my voice. So I was explaining now about the journey. I was stuttering at the Kashmere gate bus terminal. There were so many shops like fruit chat shop, KFC, Chaos, Sketchers, Junction, omelet shop, DTC buses, so many buses to travel to Chandni Chowk, Lal Quila, Seelam Pur, Peera Garhi, and other areas. There is a cinema hall named Ritz theatre, you can get the tickets at a very reasonable rate. Right now, there was showtime for the Badhai Do movie, so Khazan was telling about the movies. Now I informed the viewers about our Kashmere Gate Vlog. There is St James Church, Indraprasth University bus stand, Khazan asked to go to church, but it was closed for some reason. We were new to this market. This market was mainly for automobile parts. There were Biryani shops and fish fry, an old mosque, the market was known as Bara Bazaar. So we were now discussing the name of the Mosque, but the name was not written on it. It was Sehari Sadar Paharganj region.Khazan asked about taking tea, but I ignored him because we didn't walk enough. So it was like a home to the parts of motor cars. You can get seat covers, headlights, car tires. The market was big like its name. So there was a mysterious gate in a street. So we entered through the lane, and it was a beautiful mosque. There was a stay of time inside the premises because there was quite loud in the market outside as compared to the silence of Mosque. There were narrow lanes again which I like most about the old Delhi. Portronics, Goyal motors, Rashmi motors, and many other names in the market were ruling the place. There was Kashmere Gate Bal Vidyalaya. Then we entered a market which was in the narrow lane, it was like a small grocery market of Kashmere gate.
When you are walking continuously and you are not aware of the exit.
After crossing the narrow lanes of the market, we were at the Old Delhi Railway station, we took a look at the station. Khazan was surprised to see the least distance between the Kashmere Gate metro and Old Delhi Railway station. I asked Khazan to make a video in portrait mode for our Instagram reels. There was the poster of Rocket Boys, so Khazan asked about the concept of the series, so I told him that I have not seen the whole series, but I have seen the trailer and there is something about a famous scientist of India, Dr. Homi Jahangir Bhabha. There were JBL speakers in the market, and I asked Khazan to buy the motor parts for his car in the future. He replied," Firstly let me take a car". So there was the entrance of Old Delhi Railway Station again and Ambedkar University in front of us. Khazan sat nearby that place, maybe he got tired. Khazan was saying that it is quite a long video, isn't it?, and it will take time to edit this video. I asked Khazan to take a photo of the post office in a portrait and landscape mode. There was this noise of the rail at Delhi Junction. We were in the same underground where the PK movie's scene was taken. There was a road to the Red Fort in front of us, but we took a left turn this time for our new vlog because we have already made a vlog about Chandani Chowk, Jama Masjid, and many other nearby places. There was Baba da Dhaba on the road, which is mainly in Malviya Nagar. Khazan told that this road will lead us to the back street of Red Fort. There was Sri Shani Dev Ji Mandir. There were so many homeless people on the road. Our tricolor flag was waving proudly. There were saints on the road, statue of Hanuman Ji. Right now, we were roaming on the road, as we were going to Raj Ghat but unaware of the exact location of it.
Your destination is something else, but you found out something different. That's what happened to us.
We took the bridge way of ITO for RAJGHAT, not aware of our direction. There was Darbar Gaddi Suthre Shah Ji temple. Khazan asked about the lead of the road, walking continuously on the bridge. There was a school named Swami Harharanand Public School, Geeta Prachar Bhawan. There were posters of Neta Ji's false promises and wishes. There was again a temple on our left. There was a toilet, an abandoned one. So the temple name was Sri Ram Manokaamna Singh Hanuman Mandir. Let us find the entrance of the temple. As the name, Kashmere Gate refers to the Gate of something, so there were so many gates. There were shelter homes for people, don't know if the government has helped them or they have done their own help by themselves. There was Pir Baba Mandir with blue color. Now we took a left turn from the bridge. Again, there was our beautiful tricolor, waving proudly. So a blue color temple name was Neeli Chhatri Shah wale Mandir. There was Sai Baba Mandir. Now we stopped to take the tea.
There are so many beautiful things that are happening around us, we have to open our eyes at the right moment.
So while taking tea, there was a river, and there was a tree of Ficus and there were four squirrels on the tree. Someone has put the bread on the branch of the tree and the squirrels were eating that as per their turn, one Squirrel took a bite and left, so another squirrel will come and take the bite and then another one's turn. There was perfect silence at this place, people were using boats to fetch something from the other side of the river. Khazan asked me if it is Ganga River or Yamuna River. It was Yamuna River. After taking tea, we were again going towards Rajghat. There was construction work for Yamuna Expressway by GPT INFRA PROJECTS LIMITED. And Khazan was saying that Credit will go to the ruling party always, no matter who has started the construction work.
SAFAR MEIN KYA MILNA HAI , KAUN JAAN PAAYA HAI?
After roaming around for a while on the ITO bridge, we saw some signboards regarding the Yamuna River. Khazan was asking if we are going to the right place? And honestly, I didn't have any idea for a while. There we entered our first safarnama which was Yamuna Park. It was like Sukoon after walking almost 5 km. We took some pictures in this park. Many couples were enjoying the sunlight. There were eagles in the park, who were hunting for their prey. There was a little pond in the park, that fascinated us to sit for a moment and give some rest to our legs. Khazan was looking for eagles. When I was shooting the video of this beauty of nature, there were some bad words from Khazan. So had to delete and shoot again. There is a clip where I am talking about sukoon in this park, you will be able to see it on our Youtube channel. After clicking photos and taking the videos, we started to eat. Khazan brought some paratha and it was enough to cover this hunger strike. After some rest at the park, we were again on the walk towards Rajghat. While walking continuously, Khazan asked me, "If there are 1 lakh rupees in our account, then for how many days we can travel continuously?" That was really a good question because it gave me a feeling of freedom for a moment where we would have left our sad life for a month or two, and yes, it will be great fun to travel without a plan and without any public transport for two months. Have you ever planned to leave your home to follow your dreams, but due to some responsibilities you have killed those beautiful dreams of yours? Come back to the road of ITO bridge, so we found the signboard where we have to take the right turn for Rajghat and we are walking continuously. The beauty of nature has taken all of our grief at this moment. From this road, we can see the top of Jama Masjid and Red Fort. After some meters, we found the waving flag again.
Duniya bahut bdi hai, agar khone ke liye kucch nhi hai toh bahut kucch paa skte ho tum!
So we were sitting at a point, where we can clearly see our pride, our tricolor which was waving very beautifully. There were some eagles and pigeons who were taking their food and we took a video of this moment. Ghar se na niklo jab tak tum, na kaho ki duniya bahut bdi hai, kehne ka mza tbhi hai jab tum sach mein ghar se nikloge! And do not tell your story to everyone because you are spoiling it, save it for your special one that can be your family member, friend, or your dear one. There was Shanti Van which is the cremation spot of India's first prime minister Jawahar Lal Nehru. So now it was our vlogging time, Unfortunately it was closed but its gate was opened. It was closed due to covid reason. There was a home for squirrels near the tree. Khazan asked the army man if we can enter the place and he denied. Then, there was Shakti Sthal, which was also closed. Shakti Sthal is basically the cremation spot of Indira Gandhi. So it was again like a defeat for us, but we were not going to sit and celebrate our defeat. We were walking continuously for our destination, and we were not sure if we will be able to see it or not. Then there was Vir Bhumi which is a memorial dedicated to the former Indian Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi who was assassinated in 1991. It was again closed and it was our new defeat. Have you ever thought about your defeat? Why did you lose that particular moment of your life? Did you really work very hard to achieve your goal? Was there not a mentor for you? What was it, that took the victory from your hands? It is good to fail, you should taste it once, everyone has their own history of failure. If you got your success without any defeat, then the taste of your victory is not so good. I was a brilliant student at school as per my friends, but I was not good at college. I was bright at many interviews whereas I was zero as well. I have cleared so many tests without preparation, whereas I was failed even when I was fully prepared. I have learnt in life, that you should stop caring about everyone, it is not possible and not good also. Everyone has enjoyed their youth, so do not feel bad for someone who does not have a good life after their youth. It is not easy to go with the flow of time, everyone has their own disasters in their life, their own grief, their own heartbreaks, and you cannot help everyone.
After walking for more than 10 Km, finally, we were at Rajghat. We were hungry. We bought ice creams, one was Ek dum Aam of Mother Dairy and another one was Kulfi Rabri. After some rest, we read about the protocol that we have to follow before entering the Rajghat. There were instructions regarding the Covid-19 and some guidelines that we have to take care of, the cleanliness of the park, no littering inside the premises, no play on the ground, no sleep on the ground, need to make the decorum. So we took our entry around 3 pm but exited from Rajghat as soon as we entered it. There was parathe in the bag and food is not allowed in the Rajghat. So we came outside and ate parathe with chhole and there were some snacks. We were eating forcefully because we were not hungry at all, but we had to enter the Rajghat anyhow for our video. After eating parathe, we entered the Rajghat. And there were so many quotes by Mahatma Gandhi at the Rajghat with every distance of 20m. Rajghat is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi in Delhi, India. There were so many flowers on the premises of Rajghat. It is a black marble platform that marks the spot of Mahatma Gandhi's cremation on 31 January 1948, a day after his assassination. There were so many people who visited this place with their families. Most people were from the south part of India. We were roaming around the Rajghat and then we found this Kisan Ghat, seriously, I was not aware of Kisan ghat. There were no people in this Ghat. Kisan Ghat is the memorial of Chaudhary Charan Singh, a renowned farmer leader. “Kisan” means “farmer.” It is located just adjacent to Raj Ghat between the banks of Yamuna River and Mahatma Gandhi Road, also known as the main Ring Road. There was so much silence in this Kisan Ghat and you can check the importance of a farmer in this Kalyug after visiting this place. We clicked some pictures and shoot some videos also. Then we exited from Kisan Ghat gate and there were some shops outside this gate, where people were selling fast food and some products which were handicrafted, someone was selling the books related to Mahatma Gandhi and there was a Icecream wala also. Then we entered Kasturba Gandhi's Gallery. Kasturba Gandhi was Mahatma Gandhi's wife and an Indian Political activist. National Safe Motherhood Day is observed on 11 April every year. The day also marks the birth anniversary of Kasturba Gandhi. At the entrance, there is a statue of Mahatma Gandhi. Vegetarian Cafeteria is closed due to Covid-19, so bring your own food like us.
Now again, we were going to find another destination and we found out Gandhi Memorial Museum and there was free entry in this museum. You will find a statue to mark the journey of Dandi Kuch-Namak Satyagrah. The journey was 387 km. The statue is made of black marble, made in 2005. You will be able to see so many photos of Mahatma Gandhi with his quotes on the wall. So I was reading almost every quote by him. There were so many morals. Truth is God. Khazan was already inside the museum before me. You can see the hut of Gandhi in Sabarmati Ashram, Known as Hriday Kunj. If you are a great fan of Mahatma Gandhi, then you must visit this place. You will find almost every history related to Mahatma Gandhi. This museum will take you to the journey of Mahatma Gandhi's life. You will find all photos and memories on the wall. There are so many paintings on the wall from all over the world, dedicated or presented by his followers. The history has been stored here very safely. People are not good at this museum because they do not follow the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi, as they lack patience and gratitude. No one asked us for any help. Honestly, we are not great fans of Mahatma Gandhi, but his ideology was great in some way. Indeed, he has his shadow all over the world.
Musafir ko mazil agar mil jaaye, toh kya usey ruk jaana chahiye?
After visiting Gandhi Memorial Museum, now we were about to take our metro. We took a deep breath and sit for tea at a shop on the corner of the road. We took a Laddoo. The tea was good. So we were near the Nai Sarak Market, where you can find books related to fictional novel or any other genre, or if you are going to open your own stationery then you can visit this market. There is fix rate of books, which was 100 rupees per kg. It is located nearby the Dariya Ganj Police station. We were walking continuously and unaware of our tiredness. We stopped at a shop where Khazan was looking for some books like Rich Dad Poor Dad, actually he was looking only for the name of the book, because he will download the pdf later on the internet for free. But the feel of reading through a book on online portal is no match than reading it with the actual book. You can not smell the new pages of the book. And you can carry it anywhere, no recharge is required. Because if you are reading it on any online portal, then some kind of electronic medium will be required. While going through the market, my phone battery was only 20 % so couldn't shoot the complete video for this journey of Nai Sarak. On this Lane, there were so many markets like market-related to Guitars, Violin, Harmonium, Flute, and many other musical instruments. It seems that this place belongs to a musician. You will find so many tasty cuisines also, Changezi shop, Mughlai Shop, Zaika shop, and many others. While going through the shop, we saw an abandoned place where people were selling vegetables. Do not get me wrong, but it was looking alike. So we were walking continuously, and we found a small shop named Community Kitchen(Dilli 6 ki Rasoi) where you can get every recipe for 10 Rs only. We got a platter of Chholey Chawal. It was good food. It was basically an NGO-type shop, where all the money would go to the charity. You should visit this shop, it is nearby the Jama Masjid Metro station. There were small shops where people were dealing with gemstones. People use gemstone to change the ups and downs of their lives as per astrology channels. Then we took Jama Masjid Metro and changed at Kashmere Gate. There was a rush at the metro, so we left the first metro and waited for the next one. The next one was also crowded but we didn't have any option. Then there was some technical issue in the metro line as it was stopped at many stations for more than 2 minutes. This metro's last station was Rithala, but it will travel till Inderlok only. There was tension on the faces of the people, how they will travel from Inderlok to Rithala without metro. We deboarded at Inderlok. Then we listened to some songs with the same earphone. We got off from the metro at Nangloi. We took one Real fruit and One Sting. Then we ate an Egg roll. Then waited for Agar Nagar e-rickshaw for a long time. Then we took Gramin Seva to Agar Nagar and then reached Home.
After getting off at Kashmere Gate, pehli manzil thi Kashmere Gate market, manzil se pehle humein mila Ritz theatre, GPO post office, then Jaake mila Kashmere Gate Bara Market, is manzil ke sath humein mila purani delhi railway station. Dusri Manzil thi Rajghat, but Rajghat se pehle humein mila ITO ka bridge, Hariharanand school, Neeli Chhatri shah mandir, Hanuman mandir, Shani mandir, Ram Manokamna Mandir, a river jahan hum gilahriyon se mile, chai pee, fir yamuna park mila, yamuna park mein sukoon mila, fir safar pe kucch pal wali khushi mili duniya ki moh maaya se dur iss raste pe, fir Shanti Van, fir Shakti Sthal, fir Vir Bhumi, fir jaake RAJGHAT. Rajghat mil jaane ke baad humein Kisan Ghat bhi mila aur Kasturba Gandhi gallery bhi mili. Ab agli manzil thi metro ghar jaane ke liye lekin humein mila Gandhi Memorial Museum. Museum ke baad fir ab metro chahiye thi, but fir mili humein Nai Sarak, Music instrument wali market, Community Kitchen aur tab jaake Jama Masjid Metro station. Sach hi kaha tha maine, bhatkte bhatkte jo milta hai safarnama, usi safar ka Musafir hu main.
Maine yhi seekha hai traveling se ab tak, agar tum koshish krte rhoge na, toh kuchh na kucch hasil zrur kr paoge zindagi mein, suno nikal jaaya kro kbhi kbhi ek safar pe yu hi, kaun se safar mein kaun si manzil mil jaaye nahi pta, jo kucch bhi kr skte ho na krte rho bs ruko mat. Yakeen maano duniya sach mein both bdi h, ye Maine 40 km ki apni yaatra mein jaana hai ab tak. sb kucch shi hai zindagi mein, but ek thehraav shi hai nhi hai. Khud ko agar kho diya tumne kahin, ya kisi apne ko khoya hai , toh nikal jao ek dur safar mein kahin.
