Chhatrapur Mandir
Being an atheist, Have you ever visited a religious place?
After our Qutub Minar journey, we decided to make a video on Chhatrapur Mandir. Why Chhatrapur Mandir? Actually, I used to travel to Gurgaon due to my hectic jobs. I was worthless to work in a BPO sector as i was not made to do this job at all. While travelling by metro, I had seen this temple from the height of metro and it was beautiful. And it was not possible to take leave from the office, just to visit this temple. When they do not approve any leaves at the time of health issue, then how can i expect for this miracle. As I can remember, I used to work in Rajouri Garden for HDFC, and when i told them that i love traveling, they made a joke and said that your only travel will be from house to office only. It was a dark truth for me. Well, leave it. I think , you got my point behind Chhatrapur Mandir selection to visit.
We are not getting any views, neither on our videos nor on our blog, what are you doing?
It was 5th of march, when we took this journey. And we also decided to visit the Garden of Five Senses, Ahinsa Sthal, Champa Gali, Select City Walk and DLF avenue mall. Unfortunately, it was Chhatrapur Mandir, Jain Mandir, Azim Khan's Tomb and Champa ki Gali; that we could cover. It was 9 am, when Umesh came to my room and asked about our new video shoot location. Khazan came at 10 am and asked Umesh to come along. Umesh denied firstly, but when we left home and reached at Baldev School, he called and asked us to stay, then denied and asked us to wait at Nangloi Metro Station. Khazan had to take money from his shop, so again we waited at Chhappan Bhog for Umesh, but he was unable to find his metro card at home, Khazan asked him to come as he had several metro cards. So the Road was blocked at Durga Chowk due to some construction work. The drivers of e-rickshaws were taking 20 Rs. Instead of usual fare of 10 Rs. We reached Nangloi metro around 12 pm and Khazan asked to eat Bread Pakoda but I denied him because the taste is not good. Then he asked for Kachodi Wala, but that person was not available today. Umesh came and he was fully dressed.
POLICE NE PAKAD LIYA!
We took Inderlok metro around 12:15 pm, and they were chatting without their mask on. So the police came and asked them for a fine of Rs. 500. Umesh asked Khazan to give 250-250. But Khazan denied, and it was like a miracle that we didn't pay any fine. Now they were alert and wore their masks properly. I was reading about the history of Chhatrapur Mandir, because i didn't have any knowledge regarding this temple. As per history, this temple was the largest temple in India before the construction of Akshardham Temple in 2005. It was built by Baba Sant Nagpal which is dedicated to the Goddess Katyayani, an avatar of Durga Devi, among the nine avatars which we worship during Navratras.
KACHORI WALE KA GUSSA
We reached Chhatrapur Metro station around 2 pm, ate Kachori with parathey (Kachori was very tasty)but the Kachori wala was quite arrogant as he didn't reply to any of our questions. Then we had ice cream. The walking distance from metro to Chhatrapur Mandir is only 1 km. Don't hire auto or rickshaw, otherwise you will lost some beautiful locations on the way towards temple. You can consider this place as a spiritual one. There is big statue of Lord Hanuman in a school, entry was not allowed in it. We reached Chhatrapur Mandir and submitted our shoes.
CHHATRAPUR MANDIR ke sath aur bhi mandir
So it is Chhatrapur Mandir Complex where you will find Chhatrapur Temple, Shri Shiv Mandir, Gauri Nageshwar Mandir and Laxmi Vinayaka Temple. The area of these temples is spread over 60 acres, so you can guess the magnificent view of the temple lanes. We were surprised to see the beauty of the temples. If you are a great admirer of temples, then you should visit this location.
NOT ALLOWED TO CLICK THE PHOTOS INSIDE THE TEMPLE PREMISES
Our first entry was in the Shri Shiv Mandir. So we were reading about the history of temple for our video. Most of the people were looking at us in a strange way because of our mic. We didn't have wireless mic. We started our recording with a short history of the temple and honestly, we were not aware about the names of all temples. We were aware about Chhatrapur Mandir, not the other temples inside the Chhatrapur Mandir Complex. I was recording the video, but stopped by one of the pandits inside the temple. You will find so many posters of different Gods and Goddesses as well the statues. You will find the statue of a cow (Nandi) while entering the Shiva temple. The camera was heavy on the faith as people were busy in clicking the photos. It was designed beautifully with marble. You will find a big statue of Hanuman ji. While walking towards the Chhatrapur Mandir Complex, you will be able to see a huge red color statue of Lord Hanuman. There is a sign board in front of temple with 'Shri Adhya Katyani Shakti Peeth Mandir Chhatrapur' on it. There are CCTV cameras, donation box and guidelines nearby the shrine of Baba Sant Nagpal. There are so many statues of Lion also. Due to covid, people are not allowed to stand at one place for a long time.
Aastha lekar aayi hai aapko, ya Mandir ki khubsoorti ?
After the short tour of Shri Shiv Mandir, we went towards Shiva Gauri Nageshwar Mandir. The shrine has been dedicated to Sant Baba Nagpal at the same place. At the entrance, you will find a Trishul which is divine symbol in Sanatana Dharma. Trishul has been established on a turtoise.
After few steps, you will find a Shankha, that has religious ritual importance in Hinduism.
You can see a statue of Angel, where it represents the connection between heaven and earth, as well as strength, peace, faith, protection and beauty.
Then, there are big statues of elephants also. Elephants represents a traditional symbol of divinity and royalty in India. Elephants are revered as a symbol of good luck, prosperity, destroyer of evil, remover of obstacles, as well as strength, power, wisdom, memory, and vitality.
Then there are some temples, where entry was restricted for the public.
