Nehru Place Market

Image
After Tughlaqabad Fort , we were going to visit Lotus temple as Kalkaji location was nearby.  After visiting the fort, we ate ice cream. Now we were waiting for a vehicle for Kalkaji. Everyone was denying, then someone said that he will left us in the half way towards our destination. Khazan slept. I was checking on the internet about the timings of Lotus temple  and the last entry was 5 pm. It was already 4:30 pm and there was traffic on the road. We saw an accident. We reached Tara Apartment and told Khazan that i am already aware of this place, as I have visited this place during college days. From Tara Apartment location, we took another auto  for Lotus Temple. Unfortunately, it was already 5 pm, so we decided to visit the Nehru Place Market. We reached Nehru Place metro station around 5:15 pm. Khazan got tired. I bought two double egg rolls and the taste was gross. Khazan put the egg roll in the bag. He asked to buy a cold drink. Now, it was my turn to shoot th...

Tughlaqabad Fort

After Surajkund Mela , now we were going towards next destination, which was Tughlaqabad Fort . We were going back from the same route, took e-rickshaw and reached Tughlaqabad metro station. Now, we took the help from Google maps. And after walking more than 4 km, we were standing at the same place, where we took the e-rickshaw. Khazan got tired of walking, so we covered the distance through a four wheeler. After 20 minutes, we reached Tughlaqabad Fort. It was looking good from outside. We went upstairs and scanned the barcode. But Khazan's mobile was not working properly, so we took the tickets on cash. It was 25 Rs. per person. Someone was cutting the cake under the light of sun, temperature was almost 40 degree. Someone was hitting the ground with water to cool it off. It was like an abandoned place, and you can count it as a less visited place, an excursion. Khazan took an introductory video, video quality was high this time. You can not visit this place more than once, becaus...

Surajkund Mela 2022

Image
After the journey of Mini Qutub Minar , we were trying something new. You can compare our 'new' with the historical places that we had covered so far. It was one of my college friends ' Happie ', who suggested me to visit Surajkund Mela  for our next vlog. I told Khazan about this idea. Firstly, I read a blog about this fair, where someone wrote that there will be no entry after 9 am. Accordingly, I asked Khazan to be prepared for this. Later on, I checked the website and it was 12:30 pm to 9:30 pm. I told Khazan that we will take Faridabad metro as it was going to held in Faridabad. Later on, I found out that Badarpur metro station is the closest one. Khazan was already prepared this time, as he was used to take money from the shop on the same day of the journey. It added more than half an hour for our journey. I got up early in the morning, around 5:30 am. After a short workout, cooked something in the kitchen (Chholley). I was fully prepared before 8 am, as it was t...

Mini Qutub Minar

Image
After visiting National Philatelic Museum , now I decided to touch the Mini Qutub Minar of Hastsal Village, Uttam Nagar.  After walking more than 5 km, we took the metro from Rajiv Chowk. There was rush in the metro. We reached Uttam Nagar Metro around 4 pm. We took the help of Google maps, walked through the narrow lanes of Hastsal Village. We passed through many small shops, businesses and market. Unaware of the location, we were trusting the Google Maps blindly. We were thirsty, but lost the bottle somewhere. We drank water from a public water cooler, met two persons who were coming from their tuition of Coding classes. Khazan asked them to subscribe his YouTube Channel. After walking more than half an hour, finally we got a glimpse of Mini Qutub Minar. You can check the history of Chhota Qutub Minar for more details. Now, it was our turn to enter the premises of this Minar. But we couldn't find the exact location to enter this place. We were at the same place, after roam...

After Sacred Heart Cathedral Church , now we were going towards the India Gate. Later the plan changed and we decided to visit the Old Fort. While walking continuously, we ate Special Thaali (poor taste), Idli (good taste) and chai nearby American centre. We asked the Idli uncle, about the place, and he told us that many actors and actress has visited this place, he had seen Hritik Roshan, Ajay Devgun and other stars. We were not aware of the location or the correct way to follow. Suddenly, Khazan found this museum, National Philatelic Museum . Now we entered a place, which was headquarter of Indian Post. You should visit this place because it is also a part of collection of historical movement. This museum is related to with the collection and study of postage and imprinted stamps. You can check the timings to visit this place. We were welcomed by the two young police officers. It was perfect greeting. We asked them, if they belong from Haryana. She replied that she belongs to R...

Sacred Heart Cathedral Church

After Gurdwara Bangla Sahib , we were looking for another destination. Khazan was busy in resolving a case related to the Bank. His money got stuck and the Branch Manager of ICICI Bank was delaying the issue. The sun was drinking our blood. Then we reached at this oldest church of Delhi, Sacred Heart Cathedral Church. You can check the history of this church on Wikipedia . We entered the Church, clicked some photos and videos. I have visited this church in the past with one of my brother Ravi (Chintu) and had enjoyed the silence in the church. Khazan was continuously talking with branch manager, but did not get any useful response. While clicking photos, someone came from the church and asked us to leave the place, if we are not there to worship. There were some other people with their professional camera, and some were making the reels for their Instagram.  You can check out our photos and videos of our complete journey and share your feedback with blogger .

Gurdwara Bangla Sahib

Image
After Jantar Mantar , we were looking something to eat. I took decision to visit Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, one of my favourite places. During my college time, it was the most visited place by me. The main reason was langar and some sukoon from the hectic life experience at college. We passed through the Home ministry, Palika Kendra, YMCA and headquarter of Delhi Police. We travelled almost 2 km from Jantar Mantar to Gurdwara Bangla Sahib. There is a peer Baba Neele shah before the back entrance of Gurdwara.   I was taking a portrait clip of Gurdwara. Khazan asked me to put camera in pocket as camera is not allowed at his place. We submitted our shoes and waiting at Langar Hall. It was second time, when we were eating Langar together in this Gurdwara. First time was during our Rishikesh Trip. At that time, I was accompanied by Dharmender (Intelenet Global Services), Aakash, Khazan, Umesh and Aakash's friends. Khazan said that we should serve for some time at this place. It ...

Jantar Mantar

Image
After  Agrasen ki Baoli , now we were going towards our next destination. We chose Jantar Mantar now. Why Jantar Mantar? Because it was only 1.5 km away from the Baoli. As I have already told you about the experience of Agrasen ki Baoli in our previous blog, now we were hoping for some good at Jantar Mantar. I asked Khazan to take the photos of the signboards for directions towards Agrasen ki Baoli. We were walking continuously, and I was looking something to eat.   5 Rs. bchao online ticket booking pe! Finally, we reached at the entrance of Jantar Mantar. Khazan was surprised to look this location and said that he has crossed this path so many times but never encountered this Jantar Mantar. There was crowd at the ticket counter, so we decided to book the tickets online. There was some server issue with the websites because the main page was not loading easily. We were already troubled with the heat. After 10 minutes of patience, we got our tickets. There was something w...

Azim Khan Tomb

Image
Ek jagah na jaate toh dusri jagah na milti! After visiting  Chhatrapur Mandir  and  Ahinsa Sthal , now we were going towards the  Azim Khan Tomb . If it was not our journey towards Ahinsa Sthal, then we wouldn't have visit this abandoned tomb. We have witnessed the beauty of this tomb from the top point of Ahinsa Sthal. If you are a photographer, then visit this place as soon as possible.   We were not aware about this beautiful location, and we have never read about this tomb anywhere. It was like a diamond in a coal mine. I don't know why it is not under government's maintenance. You can see the perfect view of Ahinsa Sthal from this point, and a great view of Qutub Minar. We asked someone about the name of this tomb and he told us that it is Azam Khan Tomb. We were walking continuously towards this tomb, unaware of the exact way, passing through a jungle. People have painted the walls with the name of their lovers. Are you the one, who had written ...
